So we’ve finally let go of Summer and it’s time to snuggle up to new season style – and we couldn’t be happier. We’re thinking tan leathers, forest greens, bold blues, cuddly creams and a splash of mustard and orange for a modern makeover that’s all about Autumn but in a fresh and fabulous way.
Check out our fave looks and product picks to achieve your own on-trend update that’ll take you from Autumn into winter without skipping a beat…now that’s neat.
Bring on the blues
While not a traditional warm Autumn shade, we’re loving a bit of blue with our rustic browns, vintage leathers and cosy hides this Autumn.
From Pantone’s fashion-forward Nebulas Blue shade through to royal blue and navy, colours once reserved for winter decorating and nautical beach houses are creeping into Autumn palettes and giving a luxe lift to on-trend interiors everywhere.
Pair with timber, creams, tan and a dash of black for a subtle, sophisticated look, or mix with olive, mustard and orange accents for a modern take on mid-century style.

Dashing dark timber
Everyone who’s anyone in interiors agrees that timber is going dark and moody this Autumn/Winter season, and we’re jumping on the bandwagon too. Contrast a walnut bookshelf, credenza or entertainment unit with pale neutral upholstery, or mix with this season’s deep blues and forest greens for a look that’s handsome, refined and a little mysterious.
Materials of the moment
Whether it’s aged top-grain leather or plush velvet, vintage military canvas or distressed metal, we’re loving inspired and intriguing materials this Autumn.
And if you’re not in the market for a new statement sofa or sideboard, use wall hangings, throws, rugs, cushions, side tables and stools as an artful but affordable way to achieve a seasonal update without having to replace key items (unless you want to of course, but we’d never encourage that…right!!!)
Be seen in green
We’ve moved on from Pantone’s ‘Greenery’ and we’re falling in love with darker tones of forest green and olive – and Autumn is just the season to introduce them.
Use a statement piece, such as the United Strangers Brother Occasional Chair, then add in faux plants (or real ones if you’re the gardening type) and an artwork or two to complement the hue.
The ideal partner for timber, leather and matte metallics, the new green is serene, balanced and a chic addition to virtually any interior style.

In a mid-century mood
Mid-century colours have always been a modish choice for Autumn interiors – and this year’s no different. Incorporate through accessories such as artwork and lighting, or choose a standout statement chair or storage piece to showcase this timeless style…
